Christiane Schuchard

Fond of traveling abroad and going to meet other cultures, I in turn want to introduce tourists to Drôme and Ardèche. Of German origin, I have been living in Valence for many years.

What do you like about the region?

I love the great variety of landscapes from Vercors to the gates of Provence and the climate.

Tell me about a place that you particularly like here and why?

A place very close to Valence is Crussol with a view of Valence and the troglodyte site at Châteauneuf sur Isère.

What is your favorite activity on the weekends?

Bike ride and hike in Ardèche / Drome. A restaurant with friends.

Your little local culinary pleasure, why and in what setting?

There is a very rich catering for all tastes in Valence, ranging from 3-star PIC to the little bistro on the corner.

Taste chocolate at the Valrhona factory in Tain l'Hermitage and local cheeses such as goat cheese, St. Félicien and Picodon.
