Valence Romans Tourisme has come up with a new way for you to get to know the area. Our Greeters are on hand to show you the many different things to see and do here.

The Greeter idea first took shape in New York in 1990, and France’s national network of Greeters ushers in a new form of tourism in which visitors meet a local who introduces them to their corner of paradise and what makes them tick.

The Global Greeter Network has now spread to more than 100 destinations worlwide and to 35 towns and cities across France, bringing together more than 1,200 volunteer Greeters. The Valence Tourism Bureau coordinates the local network to take you on a real-life, down-to-earth tour to show you the area’s talents, know-how and surroundings.

Ready? It’s time to meet one of our Greeters, who will take you to places tourists rarely get to see.

This is where the Midi begins!
